"The Story of The Soulmate"

This story told by my favourite teacher back in secondary school. This is nothing religious and it’s harmless to just listen to it. I remember this story because it’s quite cute. I call it “The story of the soul mate”.

In one class session, she was actually expressing hr concern about students and puppy love. She said to us that it was too early to worry about looking for your soul mate when you’re still at school. Puppy love is just a waste of time, she said. She described puppy love as playing the love game for the fun of it and not leading to marriage. Thinking that a lot of students were spending their time dating at the canteen rather than studying, only gave her the idea that as if these young people were afraid that it was too late to find for the right one so they must start looking from the early age. This is so that they can pick the best person to couple with before the person goes with someone else. Hahahaha crap!! Anyway, that’s how she came up with this stoy.

Before we were born into this world, the Creator married us off with the only person He made for us. We were so in love with each other and got along very well. But we have to follow His rules. We must be separated randomly when we come into this world and all the memories is gone once we are in the mother’s womb. To us, this world is so big, so wide and so broad that it’s almost impossible to explore every part of it. But to God, this world is just one small sphere called Earth so He didn’t separate us that far really. The world being circle will make it possible for us to cross each other’s way, depending on how we take chances and explore possibilities in our loves. Technology makes it this world even smaller with all the transportation, communication and internet. Your soul mate might be borne at the other side of the universe, or it could be just around your neighbourhood. So the idea is, you don’t need to rush because that person is reserved for you, and nobody can take him/her away from you. In fact, you are married to that person already! But it’s not all sweet in this soul mate story anyway. Because the nature of the universe could mess it up a little bit. Your soul mate could be in love with somebody else, and maybe already married to another person. Have you heard of broken marriages? Of course you do. People get divorce all the time. That’s one of the sign that you’re marrying someone else’s soul mate. Maybe even you yourself are married to someone who is not your soul mate right now. Well, there’s no way to know, right? If all goes well, then bravo! Maybe you have met your perfect match! Remember, there’s only one person for you. If break up happens in the of marriage or a serious relationship, you should be thankful for that breakup instead of cursing your partner because without the breakup you won’t know that person is not the one God made for you. So, keep looking then. Sometimes, you don’t have to look for the person, the person will come to you. This is because you and the person will have this one pulling reaction, a kind of force that keeps pulling you to that person.

Anyhow, it could also be a sad case to some. Your soul mate could be “gone” before you get to find him/her again. Remember all the infants dead during birth? Those killed in wars or in crimes or other tragedies? Those people have their own soul mate too, some have met theirs and some haven’t. So if your soul mate is one of those whose age cut short, then you will never get to find the right one. But of course, during the process for locating your soul mate, you will come across many persons who you mistakenly think were your soul mate. It’s quite sad, but you won’t know right? Life must be enjoyed. Just be positive that your soul mate is one strong person who will stay alive long enough for you guys to find each other and reunite once again and get married once again! How cute is that! :)

The story is rather superstitious to some and I can understand that. But there’s sweetness behind it. For the young people who are still studying, concentrate on your books and don’t worry about looking for the right one, because for sure that person will wait for you to finish your study first. *giggles.

One more thing, after you read the story, you might wish that your soul mate is all that beautiful, handsome and good looking person right? The answer is, Yes, the person is all you ever wished for. (According to my teacher’s theory ok? *giggles). Your preferences of how you want your partner to be are actually influenced by the qualities that your real soul mate has. Let’s put this as the wisdom from heaven that you favour the qualities that your soul mate has though you forgot who the person is. Of course you think this is nonsense because there’s a lot of ugly people you know, how can they be someone’s soul mate when everyone seems to want only the good looking person to marry right? No, you must remember something. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Your soul mate is all the beautiful things you can see. Other people don’t have to agree with you to make it true. That’s how God made our eyes. We don’t always see things the same way with others. God created our soul mate to have the perfection in our eyes. Actually, we have mistaken the word beauty for only the physical aspect. Beauty is more than what the eyes can see. It’s felt by the heart, and by then, you just know that someone is beautiful because YOU JUST KNOW IT. Cool, isn’t it? So, have you find yours? :) Best of luck!
