“The Rhapsody Of A Hunk In The Hunt Of A Perfect Woman”

He likes being around beautiful women. He likes it when he’s given the attention and feel that he has that power over them. He likes to court them with all the candy words and make them feel like a princess, make them feel wanted and all the while, he analyzes her potential and make his own observation, whether or not “this girl” is the true one for him. The hunt is not over. With the heart-throb qualities that he has to win the girls, he doesn’t have to worry a little but his own emotions. Will it be enough for him to win the most perfect girl for him in this hunting agenda?

He might be handsome, he might be rich, he might have all the criteria ready but his heart is so insecure. His hunt just keeps on moving in the same pace as his daily encounters from one girl to another. The deception of his own wandering eyes always gets in the way. He made a lot of mistakes by trusting his eyes. He could not run away from the fact that he’s just a typical man who often evaluates a lady on the first impression – and he has lost count how many times he got deceived by it. But the hunt is not even showing the sign of slowing down. It gets in a faster pace more than ever now when he keeps meeting more and more worthy girls. He loves it when she’s brainy. He loves it even more when she’s as beautiful as she is brainy. Those qualities just kill him. And when things started to “kill him”, he becomes helpless. He finds himself having a big crush after another. He loves being in the powerful position to have control over the woman he wants. But because at the same time he feels that he’s that worthy, he cannot commit to one attractive girl when a lot more are waiting outside. The Hunt Must Go On. Someone else out there could be better than the one currently by his side.

What about the ladies whose hearts he temporarily put his mark on? These ladies might think they are good enough for them. They just don’t know why he started to drift apart and suddenly moving away from their direction. They won’t understand how much evaluation they had to go through during the short fling. They might not get to understand what’s inside his mind because to them, he’s quick to judge. If only they were given the knowledge that they got only a short time to prove their worth, they might try harder to make him stay. So, is it exactly the same thing that is going on inside this hunk’s mind?

A little bit of - Insecurity – Perfection – Fear Of Rejection – Manly Pride – Power – all come into one. You name it anything you want. But to him, it’s a complication he rather not solves. The responsibility to find Miss Perfect to make sure that everything that he has to offer won’t fall into the wrong hands, he thinks that he has a hell lot of work to do. Will he ever succeed?

Uncovering his own weaknesses one by one, he should have learnt a lot by now. For all the ladies he has left and never come back to again, maybe you ladies don’t understand that for such a person, he has very little to lose and the connection that you ladies have had with him, as history has it, might not mean that much to him as much as it means to you. Call this cruel, call his unfair, but that’s how he plays the game. Maybe he’s just not the one for you, or who knows, he might just come back knocking your door once again, if he feels that you’re still the one who lingers in his mind, no matter how many girls have come in betweenl; since the last moment you heard him whispered words of love to your ears.

One thing that he might accidentally skip in this little mess of juggling hundreds of different girl names is, he might overlook that it’s not only him who makes evaluation and observation. It’s not only him who is doing the hunting game. As a matter of fact, every girl that he met and will meet, is on their own quest to hunt for the right one. A lady can even conclude his story in the form of rhapsody and make it sound like a piece of poem – about a Casanova who is trying to locate the most worthy girl of them all.

Since that her path and his path have crossed because of their own little dirty secret that Yes, we are both on our own hunting agenda, he might think that “ah, this is just another fling” but it’s during the short “just another fling” that he actually got the best evaluation and understanding that he might not get in 100 girls he has come across. Because he doesn’t know that someone might be analytic enough to read his steps. He doesn’t know that someone might be “really that smart” just a little bit more that he has expected, and someone might catch him twisting his tongue, while he keeps on thinking that he could get away with it for the countless of times. He doesn’t know that he becomes even more transparent than ever, that a single wrong word that comes out from his mouth might be the breaking point that some smart girl would make her own conclusion, “Ah, he’s just another loser.”

And here comes the shocking part when they both finally come together again. The lady spells it out for him before his very ears, and that moment of truth finally revealed, that Yes, this lady knows exactly how he plays the game. To his surprise, he might not have to wonder why he never actually erased her name from his mind, though he is doing it like always, trying to let go whoever that has become “a past” for him. Maybe he might not have to regret that he made the effort to finally hear from her again. It doesn’t matter how many times he tries to compare her with the ladies that come after her, he should have known by now that he does like her for some great reason, though it has to play itself all over again to make him remember and appreciate it all once again.

Aha…the ending is very interesting. Cos only the future holds the answer.

It’s the beauty of the mysterious life.

NOTE: *giggles. You guys pening ka? Quite a nice piece over there kan. If you find it interesting and trying to understand it, ertinya you might get the “the thinking lamp” blinking for the right reason. It’s just a nice spontaneous piece I just made. Luv it.
