The Tough Battle Of Dignity

Women and the battle of dignity. It’s TOUGH. From day one as a girl, you are already exposed to all kinds of influences. To make you go bad. To make you lose IT.

Remember the first guy who asked you out to late nite movies? You barely knew him. You didn’t even care to ask his first name. What if you say YES? It could be a breakthrough experience of dignity. Yes, you might lose it. All it takes is a single wrong move.

The battle goes on. A handsome charming senior courting you with candies and flowers. Asking you out for dates. Trying to get you in the secluded place where people couldn’t see just so he has the chance to hold your hand, and probably “more”. Had you say Yes to it, again, you might lose it.

And then the battle goes on, and it gets harder. You become a grown-up lady, you thought you are smarter now. But wait until you see what’s in store for you. No more the handsome senior who has nothing much than a nice smile and hairstyle. Now the handsome hunks come with many different weapons. Power, money, security and even your long list of dream guy “must-have”s – Offering you all sort of things. A partner, a secret affair, a sugarbaby, a mistress – the list goes on. But what’s on the line, again? Yes, your dignity.

It’s just too tempting when you realize that you are human too. You don’t want to be an angel. When you look around you, everyone is doing it. It’s not even worth a tough time deciding whether it’s right or wrong. People have made it acceptable long before you realize that you have this battle. It’s just so easy to give in. Pleasures, excitements and adventures await you. But then, what about this thing called dignity?

Yes ladies. If you realize it, this life is a battle of dignity. Opportunities will always be at your doorsteps, to give you chance to make some wrong moves and to regret them later. This worldly temptations stop at nothing. Temptations that are dedicated to make you go bad; and if you already gone bad, to make you go worse, and then, go even worse. It’s a battle, do you realize that? Hey, so much for life experiences, why don’t we just let loose and be part of all this game? People are playing it too, remember? But then, if you mind to ask them again, do they know what dignity means? They knew it. Once. But now forgotten. They might ask you back, Ouch, dignity? What’s that? – I mean, does it something matters?

Let’s be fair. Just in case it matters, then agree or not, this battle is lifelong. It will never end as long as we are still alive. It’s tough. The tougher you are, the more temptations will come. But the thrill is, will you be able to keep it? In pride?

You answer :)
