Boy & Girls Don't Think Alike

Agree or not? If you want me to put it into comparison, the girls’ mind is running at sport car’s high speed while the boys’ mind is crawling slowly like a snail. Ouch!!!

I had this in mind for the longest time but I never asked others for their opinion…UNTIL only recently that the girls speak of the same thing. I will give you guys easy example.

For example, a phonecall. A guy you fancy called you up. You guys had a good conversation. For the girl, the conversation is like “the next good thing” for the two of you. Maybe the guy signaled to her that he likes her a bit more than just an ordinary friend, or maybe you guys have opened up about each other’s life after the phonecall. You guys talks about the sweet childhood. How you peed on your pants from laughing at your cousin’s joke. He shares his story too. It’s sweet. And then he ends it with, “You will always be in my mind. I will call you again later, baby. Muahsss”

Right after the you guys hung up, what happens? The girl would usually have “the continuation” for the drama. If the phonecall is labeled as Chapter 1, the girl would go to the next chapter in days, or even hours, or even minutes!! She is already anticipating of “what should happen next”. Maybe he’s going to call more often or maybe he’s going to buy her something nice…and the list goes on. Judging from how nice the conversation in the last phonecall, she would expect something good coming up. It’s all logic and not just exaggeration – according to her. In fact, the girl has entered her own wonderland just after the freaking phonecall.

And then, the next day, she expects that he would ring again, but he doesn’t. She starts to ask all sort of questions to herself, “Why didn’t he call? Where is he?” “Oh, he might be busy with his work.” Fine. Finally the girl finds the justification to her curiosity. He might be busy. One thing for sure, “he sure misses me”. The second day, still no phonecall. She feels tempted to ring him, but she doesn’t want to sound desperate. You want the guy to take the handle and it’s going to remain that way. She starts to feel bad. But she’s giving it time. The chapters she has created are way too nice. She can’t give up yet. And then she’s waiting for his next call day by day. Again, to no avail.

“He should have called even how busy he is.” “He’s just playing around with me.” “He must have another girlfriend that keeps him busy.” “He must think I’m not good enough since the last phonecall.” – Thoughts like this will spread all over the girl’s being. She starts to feel devastated and ignored. Now it’s reaching 1 week without a second phonecall. The girl has come to the end of the fairytale. It ends tragically. “I’m played.” “He’s a jerk.” “We are not meant to be.” “He doesn’t deserve me.” “I hate him” Yeaahh…all sorts of thoughs. (Lols). She closed the book with all the completed chapters. “IT’S OVER”. That’s what she thought.

So the day after, the phone rings. It’s him name on the screen. She would pick up with the remaining of the broken heart. Hehehehe. Guess what? The guy might say something like, “Hey baby!! I miss youuuu!! Finally get to call you today. How’s my baby doing?” The girl’s gloomy face forms a question mark. Goshh! What’s wrong with this guy? He hasn’t call me for a century and he pretends nothing happens? (Correction – Girl, it’s only 1 week and not 1 century, ok? *Lols) And he goes on and on telling how much he missed her but he had an urgent work that needed him to fly abroad. Then he said, “How’s the little girl who peed on her pants?” *Lols. “You know baby, your story of your childhood made me smile all the time. It was cute.” – “My oh My…he actually remembers the little story from the last phonecall?”, so the girl thought. It’s almost unthinkable to hear him saying all that. It’s like the 1 week without phonecall never happens at all to him. It is exactly the continuation from the last phonecall that takes place a week ago.

When you go through something like this, you will understand something about how different the boys and girls think. They don’t think alike. Usually the girl’s mind is speeding at 200 km/h when the guy is still at the 60 km/h. In most cases, it’s just easier to conclude that GUYS don’t think as much as the GIRLS. Their mind is also very less complicated than the girls. They usually don’t care about the details and their mind is VERY SIMPLE. – just put it this way. Our minds don’t work the same way. Just face it.

I don’t know why, but I think it’s kinda cute. Can I ask the girls to Stop Speeding? Hehehehe. I bet I couldn’t. When you are tired of speeding, you will know how to slow down and finally catch up with your man’s speed. As for the guys, you are not just good in speeding on the road, are you? Then be a little quicker, will ya? Hehehe

Eventually, the boys and the girls can reach a point of speed that they both can finally find the right frequency to communicate better. And usually, the ideal couples have one thing in common. Good communication. If they can, we also can.
